The transition from Bali back to Australia has been a little harder than i thought it may be. I have been missing many things from our time away, but one in particular has been where i shopped each morning.
The local markets have got to be one place you visit if you wish to experience Asian shopping at its best. I loved the colours, the smells, the local language floating around me and the abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables.
My old school friend Soph from Local is lovely asked me a while ago to see what i could buy for $50 at the market. I had to explain that this would buy me a couple of weeks worth of food and that it would not fit in the fridge! So instead i spent $5 and in the second last picture, this is what you can get.
Mangoes, paw paw, mangosteen, snake fruit, avocados, watermelon and limes.
If you do get to Bali please take yourself to the local market, wander around and if they are in season try the wonderful Mangosteen fruit...( last image) they not only look beautiful but taste incredible.

my husband loves Bali..loos so pretty
