Happy friday to you all.

I do love fridays but this one especially as its been one of those weeks.... you know the ones you want to see the back of and welcome in the weekend. I feel as though i have ridden the rollercoater of emotions, good versus the bad, up and down ....and maybe its heightened even more when you are living in a foreign country and getting your head around all sorts of things.

But its ok....this is normal i tell myself, next week will be gooood!!

The dress which was dumped promptly on the ground to get in the pool is by the gorgeous local label Coco and Ginger. 

 

For now...

...this is our park!

As Bali is non existant with parks like the ones we have scattered around our neighobourhoods back at home the rice fields have become our new park!!!

We are all taking great pleasure from the simple walks we do together in the  fields after the kids get home from school and its easy as they are right at our door step. They have become a place where the kids can walk, run and often play tag through the grid like maze, working out how to keep balance on the small thin tracks without falling into the mud....often impossible! Of course we also have an eye out for the joe blakes (snakes)...not unlike Australia.

Stopping along the way to chat in broken bahasa to the farmers and  trying out their bird scaring devices is also a novelty, and the locals get a kick out of it too!

So for now this is entertainment and diferent for the kids, but i still do hear the voices of the 2 eldest saying they miss certain things back at home...the parks being one!

10 years and a breakfast

this photo was from the 1.1.2012  (we didnt manage to get a photo the other day).

We eat out a fair bit here....different to back at home in OZ.

Mainly because its so cheap here especially at the local Warungs (local eating houses) which are our favourites (will share more later).

But.....sometimes we treat ourselves and its generally for breakfast when the kids are dropped off at school. Our favourite place is Green Ginger noodle house  (has no web page )  and it was last wednesday that we shared a breakfast togehter here and over this thai style omelette  that we both realised it was the full moon of feburary.

This full moon month is our wedding anniversary.....this year is 10 years! 

WOW!!!!  So very happy still after 10 years which makes me smile so much.

Breakfast of an Omelette and a couple of coffees together with my beautiful man being able to finish a conversation without interuption was blissfully perfect and simple..... Just the way we both like it!

a quiet friday

Its a queit one at home today.

Getting little Arti better and organizing for the next week.

singapore and back

It was a whirl wind trip. 

Overnight and back again.....visa run ( but we have to visit again in a month....long frustrating story!).

Such a contrast to here in Bali....so clean, the kids were blown away by it!

Visited China town, ate a delicious lunch. Got caught in the pouring rain while trying to hail a cab for over an hour . Visited the odd shop for necessities not amble shopping.

The zoo was a favourite i heard from M & O and Hal...while i visited the doctor for little A's terrible croup which had turned into more.....

And the best part was catching up and staying with old friends.

Places visited and liked were..... here, here and here (mainly for the awesome bag shop attached and the interior of the cafe).
