It rained yesterday!! it was so nice... it made me happy :)
we have not had rain for so many months and it cooled everything down and has soaked the ground. the kids went out for the day with H, i stayed home and made the christmas cards and ribbon for the kids presents.
the cards were easy.
cut 3 pieces of card... i used recycled cards and a 60's journal for the patterned pieces.
lay them on top of one another and sew down the middle. fold the outer ones back on one another on the seam and voila... a star!
i also decided to make the ribbon, cutting strips of fabric and sewing together. all recycled this year for our wrapping.

I love the idea of using fabric scraps to make ribbon for wrapping gifts, it looks so great.
