feeling like a pudding

Pudding_2

I thought i'd share this very easy, very quick and very delicious soft-centred chocolate pudding with you which we had for dessert on saturday night when my mum came over for her birthday. Its one of Bill Grangers.

Eggs

200g good quality dark chocolate
100g butter
3 eggs, lightly beaten
115g (1/2cup) castor sugar
2 tablespoons plain flour

Butter_2

Heat your oven to 200 degrees, place chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, and stir until just melted.
mix the eggs, sugar and flour in a bowl and then gradually mix in the chocolate mixture. Pour the mixture into 250ml ( 1 cup) ovenproof ramekins and place on a baking tray. Bake until the edges are set...about 15 mins. Serve with creme or we served ours with a large dollop of Barambah natural yoghurt.

Weekendgoodness

After a big weekend of eating & (out twice for breakfast but I'm always too hungry to take a photo of my breakfast when out), catching up with lots of family, it was time to put the kids down for a sunday lunch sleep and time for us to relax with a cup of chai and something to read. I was starting to feel like a pudding after all the feasting.

By the way Turquoise wasnt used on saturday night as we ended up cooking a fish from Hot Sour Salty Sweet . In this one you will find an incredible recipe for a whole cooked snapper with a coriander root and peppercorn rub, it really is an amazing dish, and again very simple.
My blog seems to be centering around food lately :)

Yum, you're making me hungry!

oh , chocolate pudding. sounds perfect. i thought you had written the numbers on the eggs. thought it was cute. then i saw the picture of the butter. and my first thought was ... she wrote on her butter? then i realized. nope. too funny.

Looks like it was a yummy and cruisy weekend. Oh how I'd like one of those.

Oooooh!

I recognise that butter dish!

The choc pudding sounds great - in fact, my mother in law served one at dinner just last night and I was wondering how she did it. Now I don't need to pilfer the family secrets!

Yum.
