Friday.....

We spent time with family in Brisbane eating beautiful food which had no time to be photographed.

Went to see a good friend and drank tea while all the kids played.

Easter egg hunt, picnic and a walk in the nearby forest collecting cicadas and enjoying the beauty of the trees.
monday....

Celebrating my Dad's 60th and giving him a fish for his new house which he's building in West Timor, Indonesia. A new adventure at 60!!! Happy Birthday Dad!
I hope you have all had a wonderful Easter weekend, we certainly did :))
Karin has tagged me with a photo from a corner of my studio... it is a shoe box but i love it that way.
So for a corner photo of your workplace I tag Gracia and Cathy.
The other tag was from edward and lilly ...7 things about myself that you may like to know... here goes!
* I like to doodle whilst on the phone if i get a chance and stop doing those 10 other things whilst the phone is wedged between my shoulder and ear.
* I studied Ceramics at ANU Art School in Canberra , and hope to one day pot again as i love clay.
* I grew up in a small town which had a choice of 7 beaches so i spent a lot of time in the ocean...i learnt to surf (but not very well).
* I am passionate about organic food and products and dont use any chemicals in our home, especially on our skin.
* I spent 3 years traveling before i came to where i am now in Queensland and met my wonderful man and had 2 beautiful children.
* I get itchy feet and want to travel with my family.... this happens alot (itchy feet that is).
* I love our garden and hope to switch to solar soon.
As so many of you bloggers have been tagged with the 7 things i thought i would only tag 2... they are Soul and Miko design.
And while we are at it i thought i might mention that i have finished 7 brooches and they should be up in my shop by tomorrow morning ... so check them out!
Also thankyou for all your lovely comments on my last 2 posts... I really enjoy hearing from you :))
Have a beautiful Easter weekend.x
So this is what went on in our kitchen this morning as they were both unwell we decided to hang out listening to Zulya whilst cutting, sticking and painting 2 cardboard boxes .... here are the stages and results.
My parents (whom are incredibly awesome) have just returned from a trip to Japan and with them carrying a stack of fabric (i only requested a little bit) and some beautiful gifts (i will show the ceramics another day!).
What's in the box?
A ceramic and felt pin cushion which is so lovely to hold and beautiful to look at ( this was actually my Dad's choice....cool hey!). I love how the Japanese present objects.
So if you are up for some Japanese goodness too... check out Leslies shop and blog... Love it!!!
Its friday and both the little ones are at school so i am going to take this time to get off the computer and immerse myself in these fabrics and see what i can create.
Have a great weekend :)))

We had my sister in law and niece to stay for 3 days...it was so good, relaxing mornings in the sunshine, all the kids sleeping in one room.

Collecting the mail and receiving my print from Ashley G which i love sooo much, thankyou!.... I look forward to framing it along with my others from Gracia and Camilla.

Skating in the afternoons with Max .... we are both enjoying this as he is getting right into it and i am remembering what i learnt when i was 12 ( have no fear!!!).
From being flat to full they are all finished and gone to the children's shop Dragonfly in Burleigh Heads (along with some others).
And there went another week.... Hopefully next week I'll manage to post more...more often!!
Have a lovely weekend whatever you are doing where ever you are.
With a hot cup of tea I'm enjoying reading , the Green magazine
