This is a little close up of a piece that i have been working on and have been quite excited about as the idea has been in my head for a while now and its great to see it in 3d .

Moth in the afternoon turned into a brooch by my beautiful friend Nina.
A couple of weeks ago i was invited to join a forum on different approaches to Ethical design at QUT in Brisbane presented in partnership with MAP magazine . So on wednesday night i joined Maria Nelson from Nelson Malloy and Ben Johnston from Josephmark Design along with MAP magazines director Carl Lindgren who chaired the evenings talk. It was a great night (once the nerves evaporated) and fantastic to hear other designers/creators approaches to being ethical within their business.
I haven't had much chance in the last weeks to be making as I have been playing nurse, so there are no new friends to show ...only photos.
We found this beautiful smiling Green tree frog at our back door tonight.....its rare to see one this size!

A have fallen in love with these mobiles from Frazier and Wing and love to see paper recycled in such a beautiful way.

You may or may not of noticed that i took some toys down from my Etsy shop. The fox was bought by a lovely lady wanting a special gift for her grandson named 'Fox' so it was very appropriate . There's a boys name for you Fiona! The other toys headed off for a wholesale order and i thought it was definitely time to update the shop......so above are 2 penguins ( without scarves) , 2 Mosis' and another Luna. They should be heading over to the SHOP by monday.
With each purchase i will include a handmade brooch like the one above....and like the toys, 'no 2 are ever the same'.
Also we are very excited as we now have a new camera & already loving everything about it. I was using our video camera before and often very dissapointed with the photos, i was never surprised by this as it is a 'Video' camera not a 'digital' camera!.

This is my brother in laws recent creation for his 15 month old boy! His interpretation of a "1st" bike.
I love it !....and its quite amusing to watch the kids on it...the difference of a 5 year old a 2 year old and a 15 month old riding it.
