Timing is everything...a delivery of udder friends to Eco Child (a store which has beautiful natural products for mother, baby and child) meant that we could also spend a chilled (quite literally) afternoon at the beach. Ochre braved the salty sea, while Max enjoyed drawing in the sand and making drip castles...alot of fun and definitely grounding. It's quite uncanny really as we are always making spontaneous trips to the beach on a full moon and tonight was even more special as there was a total lunar eclipse in process...amazingly beautiful.
Also enjoying reading the kids 'What the Sky Knows' by 'Stella Danalis'.
The illustrations are beautiful with a mixture of drawings and collage.
I found my mum's dictionary from when she was a child.... ' The Rainbow Dictionary ' ...1948 , and added a photo i took of a wall in India.

A moth before the rain.....its now been raining for 3 days non-stop!!!

No school for Max as the creek you cross to get into the school is flooded and cant be passed.
So lots of Lego building indoors.

These ones are off to 3 newborns.
Enjoying reading:
smosch
&
somethings hiding in here
We three are off to see a little bit of Singapore.
.

I love it when the kids sit down at the table and draw so freely..... no worries about imperfections, just free creativity... letters , lines and little characters.
i have started to draw more as well , so there is a new friend on the way soon!

Eye spy with my little eye.....something begining with O.
Ochre has mastered the spoon...and the fork...the knife is still in progress.
I am in the middle of setting up a shop linked to my blog...so if anyone is interested in any of my friends then they will soon be up for sale here on the net...it has taken me a while as i have yet to have excess stock as my orders keep coming in (which is a great thing) , but i am trying to make more than the orders so i can sell here as well....so stay tuned!

A group of friends gone to Genki
, a fantastic little shop in Melbourne.

2 penguins which you can find at Genki.

Penguins with beanies.
We have just had one of those weeks that you dont want to re-live as we all came down with a nasty flu at the same time. Not fun! But thanks to Homepathics we have recovered faster than we thought. At times we were imagining getting into our Rocket which lives in our back garden and flying off to some distant place with a warm tropical feel.....mmmmmm, that would be nice!.
Instead I found myself checking out a new blog that i have discovered and it kept me sane throughout the week.....its called fine little day
This awesome rocket was made by my brother in law , Matti, and it's beautiful....fitted out with dials and knobs and all made from recycled pieces, the door is and old Jeep door. It is so heavy and it was a very funny site watching my husband and i try to get it to where it is now.....its certainly not moving for a long time. We are thinking about growing rocket around it !
